Your Projects817 piece doesn’t start its journey sitting on a warehouse shelf. We make it after you order it.
That takes a little more time, but it means we’re creating pieces our community actually wants instead of producing more just for the sake of producing more. Here’s what to expect from the moment you place your order to the moment it reaches you.
If an upgraded shipping option is available for your order, you’ll see the option and its cost at checkout.
Every Projects817 piece is made to order, so production is part of your order timeline.
Please allow approximately 7–10 business days for us to produce, prepare, and quality-check your order before it ships.
During especially busy periods, we may need a little more time. If there’s a significant delay with your order, we’ll let you know by email.
All good things take time — and we think your Projects817 piece is one of them.
After your order ships, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 weeks.
Your actual delivery time will depend on where you live, the carrier, customs processing for international orders, and the shipping method selected.
The minute your order is ready to make its way to you, we’ll send a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number.
Don’t worry if tracking looks a little quiet at first. It can take up to 48 hours after shipment for the carrier’s tracking system to begin showing movement.
Our world isn’t everywhere just yet, but it’s growing. Right now, we ship to:
| Destination | Shipping |
|---|---|
| Continental United States | Yes, we ship here |
| Australia | Yes, we ship here |
| New Zealand | Yes, we ship here |
| United Kingdom | Yes, we ship here |
Somewhere else? We’re not there yet, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be. As Projects817 grows, we’ll continue looking at where we can ship next.
For our U.S. community, your order timeline is generally:
These are estimates rather than guarantees. Carriers have their own schedules, and sometimes packages take the scenic route.
Hello, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
We’re happy to send Projects817 your way. Just keep in mind that international packages have one extra step in their journey: customs.
Customs processing can add time to your delivery, and unfortunately that part of the trip isn’t something we can speed up from our side.
Depending on where you live, your country may charge import duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or other customs charges when your order arrives.
Those fees are set by your local authorities, not by us, so they’ll be your responsibility if they apply.
We don’t want an unexpected customs bill taking you by surprise. If you’re unsure what your country may charge, it’s worth checking with your local customs authority before ordering.
What if you refuse the package?
If you decide not to accept an international order because of customs duties, taxes, or other import fees, please know that we can’t treat it like a standard return.
We’ll need to wait until the package makes its way back to us before we can review any refund. Costs we can’t recover as a result of the refused delivery may be deducted from the refund.
Sometimes a package needs a little longer to get where it’s going. Weather, customs, carrier delays, and other things outside our control can all slow down a delivery.
If your tracking hasn’t moved for an unusual amount of time or something just doesn’t look right, email us at customerservice@projects817.com. We’ll take a look with you and figure out what comes next.
If the carrier confirms that your package has been lost in transit, we’ll send you a replacement at no cost.
Damaged, defective, or not what you ordered? That’s not how we want a Projects817 package showing up at your door.
Email us as soon as possible at customerservice@projects817.com and, when possible, send us a few photos of the item and its packaging so we can see what happened.
We’ll take it from there and work with you to make it right.
If the item needs to come back to us because it arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, we’ll take care of the return shipping.
You’re welcome to use a freight forwarder or package forwarding service, but there’s one thing to keep in mind.
Once the carrier confirms that your package has been delivered to the forwarding address you provided, our part of the delivery is complete.
If something happens to the package after the forwarding service receives it — whether it’s lost, damaged, delayed, or delivered somewhere unexpected — you’ll need to work directly with the forwarding provider to sort it out.
Made to order isn’t the fastest way to make clothes. That’s kind of the point.
We’d rather create something because someone actually chose it than fill a warehouse with pieces and hope they eventually find a home.
It means a little patience on your end and less unnecessary production on ours. We think that’s a pretty good trade.
Sometimes something just isn’t quite right. Eligible Projects817 items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery.
For standard returns and exchanges, you’ll take care of shipping the original item back to us.
Making an exchange? Once everything checks out, we’ll get your new piece into production and take care of shipping it back to you.
Our full Returns & Exchanges Policy has all the details about eligibility, refunds, and exchanges.
